Sarah Newell

Editor Sarah Newell writes about family-friendly events, store openings and ideas for families to enjoy everyday life. Having fun has never been Sarah's problem; it's having too much fun that gets her into trouble. Previously she was the lifestyle editor at XO Group in New York City where she worked across all brands including The Knot, The Nest and The Bump. Prior to that, she has held positions at Country Living, Real Simple, Glamour and Harper's Bazaar. Her work has been published by Everyday with Rachel Ray, Town & Country Weddings, Bloomberg Pursuits, Parents, and American Baby magazines as well as online at Cosmopolitan.com, Seventeen.com and HouseBeautiful.com. A graduate of the University of Missouri's journalism school, she's got a soft spot for Truman the Tiger and Shakespeare's pizza. And donuts.

When she's not working, she's hanging with her family, probably at the playground and most definitely drinking ice tea. Her two girls, Edith, 4, and Lillian, 2, always listen when she says it's time to go and never have tantrums. (Hey, a girl can dream!)
