SLM Media Group—publisher of the award-winning St. Louis Magazine, Design STL, St. Louis Family, and Stlmag.com—is looking for enthusiastic, creative, and personable interns to join our events team. Interns will receive hands-on training in developing, planning, and executing some of St. Louis' best events, such as St. Louis Magazine's annual A-List Party and the Be Well STL Bootcamp. Internships are accepted on a rolling basis.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning and execution of SLM Media Group events
- Ability to plan multiple events at once
- Assist in the recruitment and co-ordination of events volunteers/street team
- Respond to events inquiries (by phone, email, and letter)
- Be the point person for our ticketing platform, Ticketsstl.com
- Assist with event marketing efforts, including outreach to local businesses and social networks to promote participation in events
- Research in-kind event opportunities for St. Louis Magazine
- Develop and balance multiple relationships at once
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Creative, self-starter who is results-oriented with a commitment to accountability and follow-through
- Excellent communications skills and ability to reach out to businesses and garner support for a new event
- Willing to work a few evenings and weekends
