After a long and cold winter it can be hard to imagine that warmer days are quickly approaching. Spring is right around the corner, and there is no better place to be than in one of the best city parks in the country, Forest Park. We rounded up some of the best events in Forest Park coming to you this spring:
Art in Bloom | March 1—3
Art in Bloom is the Saint Louis Art Museum’s annual celebration of flowers and fine art. Dozens of works from the Museum’s collection will be imaginatively interpreted through floral design by the region’s most talented florists. In addition to the floral displays, the festival includes floral presentations and lectures, family activities, dining, and shopping.
Admission to Art in Bloom is free. Tickets are not required to attend; however, tickets must be purchased in advance for auditorium programs. Same-day tickets, if available, can be purchased onsite only.

SLAM Underground: Squad | March 29
Immerse yourself in Rachel Whiteread’s and other fierce female artists' work through music, art making, performances, and games, all while enjoying signature cocktails at the Saint Louis Art Museum's, SLAM Underground: Squad. Admission is free and the Museum is open late until 10 p.m.

St. Louis Children’s Hospital Make Tracks through the Zoo | May 19
St. Louis Children’s Hospital and St. Louis Zoo are teaming up once again for their 34th annual Make Tracks Through the Zoo races. The course that goes through not only the Zoo, but also Forest Park, takes runners or walkers past some of the park’s best features. The start and finish line are located right outside The Living World building. This is an event for the whole family—adults can choose between a 1-mile race or a 5k race/walk, while kids can participate in the Kids’ Cub Crawl.
Preview night: “Love’s Labour’s Lost” Shakespeare Festival | May 29
A feast of language and theatrical virtuosity, Love’s Labour's Lost shimmers with passion and promise.
