After. Not "if."
Wary of the ever-looming jinx, baseball fans typically steer clear of guaranteeing victory before the first pitch.
But that’s not SugarFire Smokehouse’s style. Owners at the Olivette location of the popular restaurant are so sure the Cardinals will tie the NLDS on Tuesday night that they’re serving free brisket for as long as it lasts.
If—or, as SugarFire says, *when*—the Cardinals beat the Chicago Cubs Tuesday, the restaurant will serve up free brisket six ounces at a time until it runs out, according to the bbq joint’s social media accounts.
Fair warning: This only applies at SugarFire’s location in Olivette, not the one in Valley Park.
A Cardinals win on Tuesday guarantees that both teams will return to St. Louis for a final fifth game.
