Update: New Zealand has been confirmed to play the U.S. Women's National Team at Busch Stadium on May 16.
On Thursday, U.S. Soccer announced its "Countdown to the Cup," the 2019 matches for the U.S. Women's National Team in the lead-up to next summer's FIFA Women's World Cup. The women's team will play 10 games from January to May—including one in St. Louis at Busch Stadium. U.S. Soccer and the Cardinals are expected to make the announcement at 2 p.m. Thursday at Ballpark Village. Members of the group MLS4TheLou and Mayor Lyda Krewson will be in attendance.
The women's national team will play May 16 at Busch against New Zealand. They'll have one more game, in New Jersey, before leaving for the World Cup in France.
