Tomorrow, NPR's "Political Junkie" host Ken Rudin will be speaking his mind about state and national politics at the Schlafly Tap Room at 6 p.m. ($15 at the door). Rudin has been covering national politics for decades—first at ABC, and now as the political editor for NPR (he also has a collection of 70,000 campaign buttons). Expect to hear his take on the highly contested Missouri Senate race. Last week, he posted about his trip to St. Louis. Here's some excerpts:
"It's true, I have yet to recover from the 1964 World Series, when the St. Louis Cardinals defeated my Yankees in 7 games. Not that I hold a grudge or anything..."
"It's ostensibly to talk about all things politics, but I understand if people come simply to drink heavily. The invitation refers to "St. Louis Public Radio Young Friends," I'm not sure if you have to be young to show up..."
Stay tuned to SLM Daily on Thursday for an exclusive Q&A with Rudin
