Even if you’re the kind of person who finds most puns cringeworthy, there’s something delightful about a pun in a business name.
That’s why Atlas Obscura asked people around the country to submit the best pun business names in their cities and compiled what it calls the ultimate crowdsourced map of punny business names in America.
Sadly, Atlas Obscura’s map leaves out one puntastic St. Louis treasure: Make It Sew, a fabric shop on Watson Road. But it’s easy to see how they’d overlook it. St. Louis has 13 pun-packed businesses on the map, more than half of the total number of punny names listed for all of Missouri.
