Enjoying a family day at the Cardinals game.
This week’s list of St. Louis Magazine’s most liked and shared Facebook posts is more painful than usual, for local baseball fans anyway. Four of the top seven stories are about St. Louis supporting its beloved Cardinals in its doomed attempt to win the NLDS.

Here’s our list of the most-liked stories on Facebook, posted between October 7 and 13:
1. We paid our respects to a St. Louis mainstay for its witty defense of our baseball team.
2. If the Wall Street Journal says it, than it must be true.
3. A local restaurant made a premature promise.
4. A new athletic-wear store opened its doors.
5. We looked back at the Cardinals-Cubs playoffs history.
6. Halloween can be too spooky for little ones, so we rounded up ten events for families.
7. And since baseball season is over, here’s a new sport for our city to try.
