Winter is all about indulging in guilty pleasures. You have a good five months till swimsuit season, so it's normal to pig out, drink with reckless abandon, and slob on the couch.
My favorite cold-weather guilty pleasure was Del Taco (RIP, old friend). A close second is Jersey Shore. I can't get enough of that train wreck, and thanks to idiots like me who love to watch people make fools of themselves, those burnt buffoons are laughing all the way to the bank.
As you may remember last February, Pauly D brought his weird 'do and "sick" beats to Europe night club. And tomorrow night his best bud Vinny will be spinning at Club 15 (1900 Locust, 314-588-8899). I had no idea Vinny was a DJ (he must be Pauly D's underling).
As mentioned earlier this month, pre-sale tickets went like hot cakes. So be prepared to shell out at the door. Tickets are $20 for the over-21 crowd, $25 for those under 21. Prices may increase at the door, so buy them online here.
To make an entire day of indulgence, hit up the Centennial Beer Festival before you head to 15—in a taxi, of course. (A little pre-show libations will likely make Vinny's spinning more palatable/entertaining.) Saturday's festivities take place at the Schnaider Brewery Malt House during two slots: 2 to 5 p.m. ($30) and 6 to 9 p.m.($40). The event will showcase hundreds of different beers from local breweries. For more info, visit centennialbeerfestival.com.
