Last Friday, our November issue hit the stands, naming Nabeel Gareeb “The Most Powerful Person You Know Nothing About.” This morning, Gareeb abruptly resigned as president and CEO of MEMC in St. Peters, Mo., one of a handful of silicon-wafer producers worldwide. When the email flashed through the editorial department, our unflappable editor-in-chief replied, “Well, I guess we know how to start the 2010 Chutes and Ladders diagram …”
