Beatles fans, cancel your plans tonight. This evening, on Art Hill, a night dedicated to the British foursome kicks off with a cover band, followed by a showing of A Hard Day's Night.
The entertainment, Pepperland Band, will kick off at 7 p.m. and play updated, bluesy versions of the best of The Beatles. You will even hear some lesser-known gems of the Fab Four.
While you're taking in all the groovy tunes, also take in as much food as you can muster, which is available from one of the many fine food trucks that will set up camp. Be sure to stop at Seoul Taco, Chop Shop, Pi and Go!Gyro!Go!. But save room for pit stops at Sarah's Cake Shop, The Sweet Divine, and St. Louis Snow Cone.
Don't worry if you've eaten yourself into a food coma. Starting at 9 p.m., you can convalesce on your picnic blankie while enjoying fan-favorite, A Hard Day's Night on a looming blow-up screen.
If you're the BYO type, know this: booze is welcome, as are pets, so long as they are on a leash. Other items to consider: blankets or chairs, bug spray, and movie snacks. (Museum members show your card for free popcorn!)
It should be in the mid 80s this evening, which of late is considered quite agreeable, so plan on being outside. But if you really can't stand the heat, take comfort in knowing that the air-conditioned respite of the museum's main level will be available until 11 p.m.
