Ain't revenge sweet? After dismal offensive performances during their past several outings, the Cardinals came out swinging last night, beating the Brewers 8-1. Even sweeter: It was against former teammate Jeff Suppan, who shut out the Cardinals during their May 16 loss before leaving the mound to a chorus of boos. As the Post-Dispatch's Bernie Miklasz recently pointed out on his blog, the win comes on the heels of a historic May slump. Among those who homered last night: Adam Wainwright, Nick Stavinoha, Chris Duncan, and rookie Colby Rasmus (featured in SLM's May issue). — Jarrett Medlin
