With the excitement of the Cards' unlikely berth into the World Series, there's plenty of places to get together with fellow Redbirds fans to cheer on our home team. Here are a few of our favorites:
1. Watching the Big Screen at the Tivoli Theatre
Although the Tivoli might not be the first place you think of ot watch sporting events, we think it's one of the coolest. The Tivoli will be showing all the World Series games for free in the main auditorium, so grab some popcorn and head down to the Loop! 6350 Delmar, 314-995-6270, landmarktheatres.com.
2. On the Outside Looking In at Three Sixty
You can't get much closer to Busch Stadium than this. The semi-new bar and lounge boasts a direct view into Busch Stadium from the roof of the Hilton at the Ballpark and includes plenty of screens at their indoor bar. Get there early to score a prime viewing spot. Three Sixty will open at 3 p.m. this Wednesday and Thursday. One South Broadway, 314-241-8439, 360-stl.com.
3. Catching the Game Commercial-Free at Kiener Plaza
One viewing party that's created some national buzz is Occupy St. Louis' commercial-free screening at Kiener Plaza. The group is positioning the watch party as a protest against corporate sponsorships, and whether you agree with them or not, if you don't like commercials, this might be a vaible option. Broadway and Market, occupystl.org.
4. Lounging at the Moolah
One of the best-kept viewing party secrets if you like smaller crowds is the lounge at the Moolah. With several large TVs and historically few people blocking your view, in addition to the adjacent bar and bowling, it's a fun place to go. 3821 Lindell, 314-446-6868, stlouiscinemas.com.
5. Sipping on Hot Chocolate on Art Hill
The Saint Louis Art Museum is hosting a live telecast of Game 4 of the World Series (hopefully the last if the Cards pull a shut-out) this Sunday on Art Hill and is offering some free concessions, including hot chocolate, pretzels, and popcorn. This would be a great option for families after a day at the zoo or enjoying the scenery at Forest Park. One Fine Arts, 314-721-0072, slam.org/worldseries.

6. Chilling East-Side at Global Brew
For beer fans out in Illinois, Global Brew in Edwardsville is a great bet with lots of screens and an impressive beer selection, with more than 50 beers on tap and 200 bottles from around the world. Grab some sushi downstairs at Wasabi before heading up to watch the game. 112 South Buchanan, Suite 1, 618-307-5858, globalbrewtaps.com.
7. Grabbing Some Grub at Lester's Sports Bar & Grill
For a more upscale sports bar, Lester's, now with three locations, has a lot to offer, from cushy seating to some really good food, including some of the best wings and sandwiches in town. Multiple locations, lestersrestaurant.com.
8. Hearing the Crowds at Mike Shannon's
For another great restaurant close to the stadium, head to Mike Shannon's Steakhouse. It's close enough to hear the crowds at Busch, and we just love listening to Mike Shannon's play-by-plays. Get up baby! 620 Market, 314-421-1540, shannonsteak.com.
9. Taking our Chances at Stadium Sports Bar and Grill at Lumière Place Casino
If you're planning on heading down to Laclede's Landing, the new Stadium Sports Bar and Grill will be buzzing during the World Series with 50 flat screens, some killer burgers, and, of course, gambling on the side. Lumière Place will also be donating $1,000 to Operation Food Search for every Cardinals home run, so you'll be contributing to a good cause. 999 N. 2nd, 314-881-7777, lumiereplace.com.
10. Rallying at Over/Under
Head over to the classic Cardinals hangout Over/Under for some World Series drink specials outside on the patio, which will be tented and heated on Wednesday and Thursday. If you're lucky enough to have tickets to the game, they're offering free shuttles to and from the stadium. 911 Washington, 314-621-8881, overunderstl.com.
