“Meat-friendly” hardly covers it. The place has its own butchery, just in case the braised pork, beef ribs, and bacon jam aren’t enough. The thick-cut bacon in the to-go case at the Webster location is as good as any in town.
Drink: The restaurant serves one of the most generous pours of wine around.
Best Dish: The place is known for solid steaks and a good burger, but the pork and dumplings at the Webster location and the pappardelle at the CWE are hidden gems.
Insider Tip: The Block was making bacon jam before bacon jam was a thing. Order it with the pork rinds as an appetizer, or buy a jar on your way home. You never knew homemade grilled cheese could taste so good.
