After Pizzeoli’s unbridled success with Neapolitan-style pies, New Jersey native Scott Sandler is tossing and topping 20-inch New York–style pies (whole and by the slice) on pizza-deprived South Grand. As at Pizzeoli, all toppings are vegetarian or vegan, but the pizza’s so authentic, the carnivores don’t care.
Dish: Two slices of New York–style pepperoni pizza, strictly vegetarian.
Drink: Pints of PBR and 16-ounce cans of Stag.
Tip: A 20-inch pie is worth the 15- to 20-minute wait.
