A-List Editors' Choice 2016: Tamales
Working from a stand at the west end of Soulard Market on Saturdays, Juan More Tamale sells just four varieties of tamales and the agua fresca of the day. The tamales are magnificent, with a rich, slightly coarse masa and flavorful fillings. We’re rather partial to the pork with a citrusy tomatillo sauce, but the cheese-jalapeño is nearly as wonderful.
