The Face of Helping Our Neighbors: United Way of Greater St. Louis

A CENTURY OF HELPING PEOPLE: For 100 years, the region has felt the enormous positive impact of United Way. Annually, one in three people living in the region are helped in the areas of essential needs, youth success, health and wellness, jobs, and financial security, as well as in times of personal and community crisis. This impact reaches both sides of the river, supporting people in 16 counties in Missouri and Illinois. The United Way story began in 1922 when a group of dedicated community leaders and businesses united to better the community. Today, that tradition continues as thousands of local individuals, companies, and organizations choose to give time, talent, and treasure to support people through United Way. The organization is proud to serve the region and proud to continue their important mission: helping local people live their best possible lives.
