Through this membership plan, patients not only receive needed preventative care, but also receive a discount on any needed dental treatment, with no waiting periods or yearly maximums. The practice also accepts traditional insurance and helps patients navigate their individual plans.
Founded in 2006, Arnold Smiles—the practice of Drs. Sarah Gordon, Erin Mariscal, and Kirthi Tata—provides general dentistry to the entire family. With a focus on comfort, the dentists are able to provide an array of services to patients—even those with dental anxiety. All treatment rooms have televisions on the ceiling and directly in front of the chairs to keep patients of all ages entertained. In addition, they have massaging chairs, blankets, and offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for anxious patients. They do their best to care for everyone as if they’re part of the family.
Providing the best care modern dentistry has to offer has always been a priority, and that means regularly upgrading equipment. In 2020, the facility was upgraded to include the “Surgically Clean Air” system and HVAC improvements in response to COVID-19. The office has always used digital X-rays, which allows less radiation than traditional X-ray equipment. They now have the capability to do digital 3D imaging in the office with the use of a cone-beam computed tomography system (CBCT). This is particularly helpful when planning for dental implants to replace missing teeth. The newest equipment addition is the iTero Element 5D Plus, an optical impression system (CAD/CAM). Instead of a traditional impression, a small digital wand takes many pictures of a tooth, resulting in a digital model used to create crowns, bridges, and other treatment options. The iTero system is made by Invisalign, so of course it can also take digital impressions for Invisalign treatment and orthodontic retainers.
