Now in its third century, the Academy is the area’s oldest school, founded in 1818 by St. Philippine Duchesne. A Catholic, independent school for children of all faiths, the Academy educates boys and girls in PreK-3 through Eighth grade. Students create using 3-D printers, explore coding, program drones, and the littlest learners pedal away on “smart bikes,” which pairs movement with iPads. The new Broadcast Classroom provides unlimited opportunities to develop video editing and production skills.
A rigorous curriculum is enhanced by a focus on written expression, hands-on science, study of Spanish and French, daily PE, engaging art and active music classes. Students enjoy learning on a historic and beautiful 10-acre campus in St. Charles.
