Saturday, April 7: Do some yoga under the Arch at the Spring into Your Park free community festival, 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the park’s North Gateway (near Laclede’s Landing). Added inducements: live music, lawn games, face painting and character sketches, food trucks, and the Discovery Map Challenge, a scavenger hunt that will reveal details of the park’s transformation.
Sunday, April 8: The second annual GO! St. Louis Marathon starts and finishes on the riverfront.
Thursday, April 12: Everybody’s invited to the Soft Launch Party, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., that celebrates the new 40,000-square-foot Wellbridge athletic club and spa in the heart of
Clayton’s Centene complex. Now offered: suspension fitness, aerial yoga, hot yoga, a saline buoyancy pool, a concept studio, and an energy café.
Thursday, April 12: Think Well: Healthcare Out Loud, a TEDxGatewayArch marathon from noon to 4:30 p.m. at the Sheldon Concert Hall.
Saturday, April 14: One Health Fair at the Saint Louis Zoo, 9 a.m. – noon. A collaboration of the Institute for Conservation Medicine, Fontbonne University’s Center for One Health, Saint Louis University School of Medicine, University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, and Washington University in St. Louis, looking at the interconnections of our species’ health with other animals and the environment.
Monday, April 16: “How Trauma Impacts Social, Emotional and Health Outcomes,” free and open to the community from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the John C. Murphy Health Center, 6121 N. Hanley. Explored: how trauma affects children’s brain development and what can help them recover.
