John Goodman looks very different now than in this photo from 2011.
Actor and Affton High School alum John Goodman is looking slimmer than ever, and it’s got the Internet buzzing.
Goodman, age 63, debuted his healthier look last week at the screening for his new film Trumbo, co-starring Helen Mirren and Bryan Cranston, at the BFI London Film Festival.

Goodman, best known for his roles on television’s Roseanne and the film Big Lebowski, has been public with his struggles with weight-loss. In 2011, he told David Letterman that at his largest, he was pushing 400 pounds.
“I’d get off of Roseanne every spring. I’d lose 60 pounds every spring,” Goodman told Letterman. “Then I got too fond of the barleycorn. I’d gain it back and then some, every year. It’s going to be an ongoing process for the rest of my life.”
A year earlier, in 2010, Goodman told PEOPLE magazine that he’d quit drinking, hired a health coach, cut sugar from his diet and started working out six days a week.
"I know it sounds sappy, but it was a waste," Goodman told PEOPLE. "It takes a lot of creative energy to sit on your ass and figure out what you're going to eat next. I wanted to live life better."
A week after his latest media appearance, news of Goodman’s slimmed-down frame is still going viral.
Goodman’s weight loss seems to be getting more press than the film he’s currently promoting. Here’s the trailer for Trumbo, which comes out in November:
