For most, going to a Cards game isn't a time to worry about the problems of the real world, like eating healthy and staying on a diet. Buy me some peanuts and cracker jack, and maybe also a hot dog, nachos, and the occasional burger in Big Mac Land. But this year, Busch Stadium is looking to change that with new options for healthy eating at the ball game.
According to a report by the St. Louis Business Journal, the new offerings are based on demand and customer service. Now, Delaware North Cos. Sportservice will add turkey burgers to the stadium's menu, making it one of the only ballparks in the country to offer them. Also, a farmers' market-style stand near Gate 1, Section 137 will over gluten-free options, such as garden and chef salads, yogurt, fruit, fresh sub sandwiches, veggies wraps, etc.
Of course, the classic guilty-pleasure menu items will still be available, but now, striking out on your diet doesn't have to be part of the experience.
