May 7: Meet Clifford The Big Red Dog at the St. Louis Public Library

May 7: Youth Fishing Derby at Central Park Lake
Children ages 5 to 15 can participate in Chesterfield's Youth Fishing Derby for a chance to win prizes. Participants are encouraged to bring their own poles or use the provided (but limited) fishing equipment onsite. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. at the amphitheater stage. May 7: Strawberry Festival at Eckert's Farm
Enjoy outdoor festival foods, live entertainment, and free wagon rides. Kids' activities include pony rides, a children’s play area, a petting farm, carnival rides, and inflatables. There will also be strawberry treats in the bakery, custard shop, and restaurant. And pick-your-own strawberries begins May 6. May 6–8: Valley of Flowers Festival
Florissant's Valley of Flowers Festival celebrates its 54th year with a three-day, family-friendly celebration, including carnival rides, live music, baseball games, a plant sale, a charity raffle, a beer garden, and food. On Sunday, the grand parade begins around 4 p.m., followed by the crowning of the Valley of Flowers Queen. Free. 50 Rue Saint Francois at Saint Charles.
