January 18, 19 & 20: Cardinals Care Winter Warm-Up
January 12–15: Once Upon A Time
Enter the fabulous world of fairy tales at this exhibit created by The Magic House. Open through January 29, it allows children to explore seven storybook kingdoms and learn about stories from all over the world. The exhibit features giant books, a real castle, and plenty of hands-on fun. Included with admission. 516 S. Kirkwood.
January 13: Kids Night Out with Circus Kaput
Need a night off? Drop off the kids at Kids Night Out in the Chesterfield Mall, and you can shop or dine while they have fun. Youngsters will be treated to pizza and a circus workshop with carnival games, face-painting, balloon animals, and a magic show. 6–9 p.m. $20 ages 5–13 with advanced registration, $25 at the door. 291 Chesterfield Center.
January 14: Superhero Training
At The Pointe at Ballwin Commons, let your junior hero improve their skills with Flash’s obstacle course, Spiderman’s web fight, and Captain America’s shield toss—then vaporize a few villains. Kids are encouraged to wear their coolest super suit at this event for ages 2–5. 9–11 a.m. $6–$8. 1 Ballwin Commons.
January 14–15: Cardinals Care Winter Warm Up 2017
Meet your favorite players, get autographs, play games, and take a photo with Fredbird—all while helping the Cardinals raise money for charity. Members of the military, police, and fire departments can get a free adult pass with their active ID. $40 for adults, $10 for kids ages 5–15, free for children under age 5. Through January 16. Hyatt Regency, 315 Chestnut.
January 15: Family Sundays at the Saint Louis Art Museum
Visit the art museum to learn about magical beasts, such as griffins, dragons, and satyrs. Kids can make some art of their own and do a quick tour to look for magical beasts in the gallery. The event starts at 1 p.m., and the tour leaves at 2:30 p.m. Free. 1 Fine Arts.
