St. Louis Symphony Holiday Celebration (December 21, 22 & 23)
December 15: Cirque Musica Holiday Spectacular
Come see the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra play your favorite holiday songs while daredevil acrobats and aerialist perform out-of-this-world circus stunts at the St. Charles Family Arena. 7:30 p.m. $28–88. 2002 Arena.
December 16–18: Mercy Holiday Celebration
Start a new holiday tradition at Powell Hall as the St. Louis Symphony performs their annual Holiday Festival Chorus. Powell Hall will be decked out for Christmas, and kids can get a photo taken with St. Nick. 718 N. Grand.
December 16–18: Hidden Valley Ski Resort
Colder temperatures means Hidden Valley Ski Resort can crank up their snow machines. Come out for some fun in the snow. Bring your own skis or rent a pair. Snow tubing on the Polar Plunge will also be open. 17409 Hidden Valley.
December 17: Christmas with the Birds
Meet Santa, Elsa, Anna, and a few gorgeous birds of prey at this special Christmas event at the World Bird Sanctuary. Kids will enjoy hot chocolate, treats, holiday songs, and gingerbread-house building. The event is free and photos with Woodlands Santa Claus (and his bird friend) are $8. 10 a.m.–2 p.m. 125 Bald Eagle Ridge.
December 17: Toys for Tots Drive at Grant's Farm
Come hang out with the Budweiser Clydesdales as the Marines help collect donations for Toys for Tots. Bring a new, unwrapped toy (or minimum $10 donation) and receive a holiday photo with a Clydesdale and a Marine. Kids can check out the Marine's cool trucks and a petting zoo. Parents can enjoy free beer sampling and a raffle. Only the parking lot and Clydesdale barn are open during this event. Noon to 4 p.m. 10501 Gravois.
