April 21: Free Night at The Magic House
Start the weekend with a little magic. Every third Friday, The Magic House invites your family to enjoy the area's best children's museum—totally free. Limited to two adults and four children per family. 5:30–9 p.m. 516 S. Kirkwood.
April 21–23: Spring Fling

April 22–23: Chinese Culture Days
Experience the wonderful culture of a far-off land without leaving town at the Missouri Botanical Garden. It's a fun weekend of food, dancing dragons, music, and crafts for kids. Admission is $15 for adults and $7 for kids 3–12. 10 a.m.–5 p.m. 4344 Shaw.
April 22: Free Mini Train Rides
Ride the tiny rails with the St. Louis Live Steamers. Once a month, this model railroad club invites children of all ages to come ride their authentic model steam trains around Kircher Park in Eureka. The trains are about two feet tall, really burn coal, and can carry a dozen or so passengers. Free. 11 a.m.–3:30 p.m. 45 Williams.
April 22: Construction Zone
Do more than look at art this weekend at Laumeier Sculpture Park—make some art! Take your little artist to this family workshop and learn how to build a sculpture from wood and found objects. For kids 4–12 and their adult. Cost is $45. RSVP online. 1:30–3:30 p.m. 12580 Rott.
