The St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station is the soon-to-be home of otters, sharks, rays, fish, Lord Stanley, and now, potentially, your name on an official plaque at the entry plaza.
The St. Louis Aquarium Foundation is selling commemorative fish plaques ahead of the aquarium's December opening to raise money for its mission of "providing access to curriculum-based science learning, conservation partnerships, and volunteer programs to engage the community in water conservation and education."

The plaques will be displayed on a 22-foot recognition monument at the entrance of the aquarium for a minimum of 15 years. There are four sizes of fish available to purchase, one of which is a digital fish which will be displayed on a screen saver–like display on one of the donor walls. Almost 100 of the available 500 physical plaques have been sold already, but you can still get one.

Diane Bauhof, executive director of the St. Louis Aquarium Foundation, says the foundation is already working on its goals for when the aquarium is in operation. The list includes a program to provide 25,000 free admissions per year to kids in Title 1 schools and other underserved communities, volunteers to man the aquarium's interactive education center and, eventually, a stream clean-up team that will "get people involved with loving our rivers and wanting them to stay clean."
