Peanuts characters Snoopy and Lucy will be on board the Great Pumpkin Patch Express.
All aboard! This fall, the historic St. Louis Union Station will transform into a giant pumpkin patch to make way for the Great Pumpkin Patch Express.
Between October 10 to November 1, kids can write postcards to the Great Pumpkin, color in coloring books, decorate pumpkins, enjoy cider and sugar cookies, and have their picture taken with Peanuts characters Snoopy and Lucy.
After all the pumpkin patch fun, they will then get to ride the Great Pumpkin Patch Express around St. Louis and see city landmarks such as Busch Stadium, the Gateway Arch, and the Mississippi River.
“We want more and more stuff we can do for families in St. Louis for that age range from 2 to 10,” says Tom Lyons of Lodging Hospitality Management. “We’re looking to do at least three train events a year.”
In addition to the Great Pumpkin Patch Express this fall and the Polar Express this winter, Lyons says they are looking to potentially add a train event for Easter and Valentine’s Day.
General tickets are $25 for children between ages 2 and 12 and $35 for adults. Families can also buy a premium ticket, which allows for kids to ride with Snoopy or Lucy in their train cars. Families can buy tickets on the Great Pumpkin Patch Express website.
