On Wednesday, September 6th, at 7:30 p.m., the popular St. Louis comedy showcase, This Is Casually Happening, will be returning to The Golden Hoosier for a double headliner exclusive with comedians Precious J and Gwen Sunkel. Known for being the 2020 Winner of the Funniest Person In St. Louis Comedy Competition at Helium Comedy Club St. Louis, Precious J is a regular at Helium and has also performed at the Funny Bone and additional venues in the Midwest. She was also a guest on Michael Colyar’s Morning Show. Sunkel is an Indiana native that has been seen in comedy festivals such as Limestone Comedy Festival, Cincinnati Brew Ha-Ha, and The Flyover Comedy Festival St. Louis. She was also on the Vice TV Series, Hunters, and is a contributing writer for AFW Magazine.

Featuring will be comedian Nicholas Cuvar. Recently a 2023 Finalist in the Funniest Person In St. Louis Comedy Competition at Helium Comedy Club St. Louis, Cuvar is also regular at the Funny Bone St. Louis and St. Charles and on the St. Louis independent comedy circuit. He also opened for Greg Warren at the Lincoln Theatre in Belleville, IL earlier this year.

Comedian and producer of the show, Mollie Amburgey, will be hosting the evening. Amburgey is the host of the podcast Casually Mollie, which includes interviews with comedians and entertainers both locally and around the country. She has also performed and produced shows at Helium Comedy Club St. Louis, Funny Bone St. Charles, The City Winery St. Louis, and the St. Lou Fringe Festival. Amburgey has been interviewed on the Big 550 KTRS and St. Louis On The Air with St. Louis Public Radio.
