Many of the guys traded in their black bow ties for golf shirts and Realtree tees, anticipating the next day’s shooting tournament, where clay pigeons would be sacrificed to raise money for sick kids. Bluegrass outfit the Alex Riffle Band (named for the frontman, a 14-year-old banjo prodigy) provided the music, and a certain famous redhead—in pancake makeup and yellow jumpsuit—mingled with the 500-plus guests.
