Forest Park turned into a whimsical wonderland on April 6, 2014 at the 7th Annual Wonderland Tea Party benefiting Forest Park Forever. More than 270 guests, one to 100 years young, enjoyed an afternoon of royal celebration. Activities such as sword fighting demonstrations, chess tutorials, face painting, and craft projects made a regular afternoon something special to get children excited about becoming the next generation to use the ever growing St. Louis gem, Forest Park.
The event was designed by children for children, although many adults were found enjoying the life-size chessboard and silent auction featuring goodies from local businesses and even some Cardinals tickets. The day surpassed 2013 fundraising goals with more than $38,000 raised. The funds will support the ongoing maintenance and operations of the park, making it a great place to learn and play for all ages for years to come.
