St. Louis At Home's Tabletop Design—Centerpiece by Twigs & Moss
2 of 2
Seeing the pure joy on a child's face can be one of the most amazing sights in the world, and for those who provided support for the 10th Annual Table Tops Spring Event presented by Moneta Group, that happiness will come true for patients at St. Louis Children's Hospital.
Co-chaired by Pam Trapp and Ann Perry, this fun and elaborate event was held on April 18 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Clayton, and more than 700 guests were in attendance. Guests spent the afternoon browsing area boutiques and enjoyed a divine luncheon while gazing upon the most intricate and beautiful table centerpieces yet! Local businesses including Hip & Gable, the St. Louis Art Museum, and The Cup wowed guests with their individual designs. A table adorned with cakes, pies, and leaves made of sugar cookies formed a tree that sat in the middle of the table created by The Blue Owl, while Laumeier Sculpture Park placed a miniature replica of Alexander Liberman's The Way scuplture as the focal point of their table. St. Louis At Home had an elegant centerpiece designed by twigs & MOSS, with white orchids blossoming from tall, glass cylinder vases decorated by colorful magazine covers. Everywhere you looked, something fantastic caught your eye!
And while being awed by decorations and indulging in boutique shopping was an extra, supporting St. Louis Children's Hospital's Camp Rhythm was why each guest really attended. The camp allows patients of the hospital to get the necessary medical treatment and expertise from volunteering doctors and nurses so that they have the opportunity to feel accepted, build confidence, and make lifelong friends for free! Jakeb Reynolds, a 17-year old SLCH patient and a recently promoted Camp Rhythm counselor, spoke on behalf of Camp Rhythm and provided insight into the true happiness gained by the camp attendees.
Due to the extreme generosity of guests and donors, St. Louis Children's Hospital was able to raise over $1,056,000 at the Table Tops event, making the dream of Camp Rhythm continue. To see the beautiful table tops for yourself, check out St. Louis Magazine's party pics.
