There’s nothing better to warm a hungry soul than a little comfort food… and some good old fashioned funk. On March 10th from 6:00-8:30p.m. Join Operation Food Search’s young friends group, The Associate Board and St. Louis Magazine for Soups, Stews and Casseroles for the Hungry Soul- a 70’s themed event with comfort food tasting by chefs featured in St. Louis Chef’s Recipes- Volume II.
Honorary hosts of the event include Byron Kerman from St. Louis Magazine; Mallory Nezam, the Poetree Project’s Co-Creator and Founder of STL Improv Anywhere; and Steven Fitzpatrick Smith of The Royale. Dr. Dan the Pancake Man will be there to perform live pancake art while KDHX’s Rob Levy of Juxtaposition spins hits from the 1970’s. Studio Theater tours are also available and a retro kitchen display by T.F.A. (The Future Antiques) will be there for your viewing pleasure. All of this and more will take place in the lobby of the Repertory Theatre lobby located at 130 Edgar Road in Webster Groves.
Although dress is casual, guests are encouraged to wear their best ‘70’s garb. T.F.A. will be offering 20% discounts on full priced leisure suits, bellbottoms, and more.
Tickets are available for $15 in advance at www.repstl.org. If you forget to get them before the event, tickets are $20 at the door and available at the Repertory’s Box Office. Proceeds benefit Operation Food Search’s child-focused weekend feeding program, Operation Backpack. Break out your hot pants and feather your hair for a night of far out fun! Can you dig it?!
