ST. LOUIS, MO – AUGUST 28, 2007 – St. Louis Magazine has hired Nicole Benoist Edgerton, a native St. Louisan, to join its nationally acclaimed editorial staff to become the style editor. Benoist Edgerton has come back to St. Louis after working in the fashion industry in both New York and Los Angeles. With a decade of experience in the world of fashion and beauty, she has developed an intuitive eye, a creative outlook and a true passion for style. “I’m thrilled that Nicole has joined St. Louis Magazine as its first style editor,” says editor Stephen Schenkenberg. “The magazine’s long been interested in women’s and men’s style, and with this appointment we take a significant step forward in covering both.” Nicole Benoist Edgerton has worked for Todd Oldham, for Chanel and most recently as an independent consultant helping to launch new fashion labels. A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in journalism, Benoist Edgerton has wardrobed celebrities such as Madonna, Jennifer Garner, Nicole Kidman, Naomi Campbell and Brooke Shields. “I’m thrilled to be joining the team at St. Louis Magazine, as well as returning to my hometown,” she says. Benoist Edgerton resides in University City with her husband, James and her son Levi Jack. St. Louis Magazine is St. Louis’ premier lifestyle magazine, focusing on all the most interesting people, places, events and trends in the Gateway City.
