Designer handbags, a glamorous hotel, and plenty of entertainment are the best ways to spend a night on the town with the girls and St. Louis Magazine, and that's just what the guests of The Old Bags Designer Handbags Auction enjoyed Tuesday night at the Frontenac Hilton Hotel! The annual auction allows ladies to bid on beautiful designer purses and bags to benefit Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition, and with nearly 350 women attending, the event was a huge success.
Specialty drinks, delicious food, and decadent chocolates were served while the guests perused tables of gently-used designer handbags from Louis Vuitton, Prada, Vera Bradley, Kate Spade, Gucci and more. Last year, $112,000 was raised to benefit the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition, but this year's efforts topped that. Thanks to all of the generous donations and bids, the coalition topped the fund by over 10%, raising more than $125,000!
All of the proceeds from Old Bags will benefit the mission of Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition, striving to create permanency iin every foster child's life by recruiting and supporting foster/adoptive homes in the Metropolitan community. The night was a huge achievement, and plans are already in the works for next year's Designer Handbag Auction. To see all the fun for yourself, check out St. Louis Magazine's party pics.
