Growing up, imagination and creativity are the key factors that make being a child so much fun, and Forest Park Forever has truly captured that spirit with their annual Wonderland Tea Party. The whole SLM family joined children and parents alike at this Dr. Seuss-themed event, where the spirit of amusement and adventure lived throughout Sunday afternoon.
For two hours, over 200 smiling children and their families participated in an arts and crafts project, a scavenger hunt, a silent auction, face painting, and even more. The highlight of the afternoon was spending time on the Dennis & Judith Jones Variety Wonderland Playground. This state-of-the-art playground, accessible to children of all abilities, is more than just a playground in a park: featuring 29 pieces of equipment, children interacted with each other and learned about diversity, disabilites, and acceptance during playtime.
As the next generation to enjoy the beautiful and lively heart of St. Louis, our children are the inspiration to never stop creating and making the city better. Forest Park Forever has done just that with the Wonderland Tea Party, and will continue to do so after 25 years of commitment.
