Forest Park, one of the most-loved gems in all of St. Louis, maintains the idealistic 500 acres solely from the generosity of donations and fundraising events. Forest Park Forever provides fun and exciting ways to entice visitors to join and support the park: the 2013 Hat Luncheon on Thursday, June 6 is that fun event and St. Louis Magazine won't be missing out!
Forest Park Forever makes sure to keep traditions alive with their annual Hat Luncheon at the World's Fair Pavilion. A competition between all who attend, fantastic and elaborate hats are worn with the intention of winning six possible titles: romantic, whimsical, vintage, couture, homemade, and fascinator. The winners are selected by a secret panel of judges, who are annouced after the winners have been announced. The reception will begin at 11:15 a.m. and leads up to the luncheon, beginning at noon, which includes delightful delicacies and plenty of laughter. In years prior, more than $400,000 has been raised to benefit Forest Park and all of its amenities—to top those generous donations is the goal this year!
