Anyone can host a dinner party, but not everyone can host one like the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. St. Louis Magazine joined the Opera Theatre on February 8 for their annual Wine and Beer Tasting, held at the Sally S. Levy Opera Center in Webster Groves.
Sponsored by Ameren, the night was absolutely unforgettable. Guests enjoyed a fantastic array of wines and beers while nibbling on delicious food - all provided by local businesses - while silently auctioning on select vintages, exclusive dinners, and other luxury items.
Glasses were full the entire evening, with tastes of exceptional wines from:
St. Louis Wine Market & Tasting Room
and Vinezia Imports.
But wine wasn't the only option patrons had to choose from. Grey Eagle Distributors sampled unique beers, and also gave guests the personalized interaction with the brewmasters behind it all.
The original taste of St. Louis filled the room, provided by:
and Vin de Set.
To keep the crowd awake and alert, Kaldi's Coffee and Kakao Chocolate gave out sweets and buzz-worthy beverages.
All of the proceeds from the night benefited Opera Theatre’s professional training programs for emerging artists, which provide special performance opportunities, master classes, and coaching sessions for the most promising young singers in the country, as well as an intensive technical apprentice program for students interested in scenic design, lighting, costume design, or props.
To say the least, guests were delighted and entertained after attending the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis' Wine and Beer Tasting and are looking forward to celebrating this event for years to come.
