Wednesday night St. Louisians got a taste of some Latin flavors at A Night in Old San Juan! Carlos Beltran outfielder for the St. Louis Cardinals in connection with the Four Seasons and St. Louis Magazine hosted a magnificent Latin themed event at the Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis.
Upon entrance guests were teleported to the island of Puerto Rico with Carlos Beltran and his friends, musicians, actors and television personalities! It was a night to experience all things Latino! From authentic cuisine and music to DonQ Rum tastings, Dos Equis beer, and fine cigars, guests were delighted to be in paradise.
Partygoers enjoyed themselves as KSDK sportscaster Rene Knott emceed the Latin inspired evening. In addition, the festive soiree featured a star-studded performance by two professionals from ABC's “Dancing with the Stars” totally astounding the guests.
Partiers enjoyed themselves as they mingled with Carlos Beltran and his friends David Freese, Mike Matheny, Matt Holliday, Ozzie Smith, and other St. Louis Cardinals players in the VIP lounge. The celebs also took pleasure in posing for photos with guests!
There were live and silent auctions featuring an array of things including sports memorabilia, vacation packages, and several other great items that bidders brawled over relentlessly to ensure their own conquest.
Proceeds benefited the Carlos Beltran Foundation. Beltran’s mission is to support programs that encourage children and adolescence from lower income families to become well-rounded individuals and teach them to take control of their futures by way of sports and education.
