ICE CREAM CONTEST
Win free Clementine's for a year
All this month, Clementine’s Naughty & Nice Creamery will host #PuckerForAPint. Patrons can snap a photo in Clementine’s “kissing booth” and post it on social media. A winner, announced March 1, will be chosen at random to receive a pint of ice cream every month for the rest of the year. (And while you're there, look for new flavors, including Pink Champagne Sorbet, Honey Lavender, White Chocolate Cherry, and Brandy Alexander.)
HOT SPOT
Court Louie
Some of your favorite food trucks can now be found in one place—and with indoor seating. Court Louie, from Steak Louie’s owner Paul Listenberger, opened at 4001 Utah in January. Currently, on Friday evenings and Saturday days, it serves as a home base for popular food trucks Go Gyro Go, Locoz Tacos, Farmtruk, and Steak Louie. The inside aspect—with tables and a counter where customers can order at different registers—makes it the first of its kind in the country, Listenberger told the Riverfront Times.
INSIDER TIP
Coffee for a cause
Your morning cup of coffee could help a child in need. St. Louis nonprofit Circus Harmony, which “teaches the art of life through circus education,” has unveiled its own brand of coffee to fund a scholarship program. Working with St. Louis roaster Mississippi Mud, the organization is offering a blend dubbed Defy Gravity. Proceeds will go toward its Flying Children Scholarship, which allows under-privileged kids to participate in the arts. Defy Gravity is a medium organic blend of Guatemalan and Colombian whole-bean coffee. It’s available on Circus Harmony’s website, as well as Baby Elephant Café inside City Museum.
