Tenderloin sliders at 801 Chophouse offer an upscale take on the mini-burger

It’s true: The same high-end steakhouse where entrées hover around $50 also offers a heckuva tenderloin slider for a heckuva lot less—but only at happy hour. Eat at the bar between 4 and 6 p.m. Sunday through Friday and take advantage of the $6 slider steal. A pair of 2-ounce grilled USDA Prime beef fillet medallions arrives on house-made brioche buns along with Campari tomatoes and bleu cheese. And on Sundays, the evening’s prix fixe dinner menu includes three courses for $33. Even at Clayton’s most expensive steakhouse one can still eat like a prince and spend like a pauper.
