As the holiday season draws near, you may need something to make for guests, bring to a party or gift away. I love to make candied cinnamon pecans and almonds. Not only will your kitchen smell amazing, but you’ll have an irresistible snack to share.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups raw almonds
- 2 cups raw pecan halves
- 1 egg white
- ¾ cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, whisk the egg white until frothy. Fold in the pecans and almonds. Add the sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir until the nuts are completely coated.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and spread out the nut mixture in a single layer. Bake at 300 degrees for about 40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. Remove from oven, and stir once to loosen any nuts from the parchment. Let cool completely, and store in airtight container.
