The combination of smooth botanicals and the tartness from one and half lemons in every bottle makes for a superior lemonade. The bourbon add-in makes it memorable.
Wondering what to drink this weekend? Here are some recommendations from Jon Parker of Parker's Table that are sure to make you the hippest tippler in town.
Most recently in-demand at his shop has been a rosé from Chateau de Campuget. Fifty percent white grenache and 50 percent syrah, the light $13.99-per-bottle blend "instantly transports you to Avignon," Parker says, "or to Lake of the Ozarks—depending on how far you want to travel."
If you'd like to stay closer to home, he suggests Perennial Artisan Ales' Hopfentea, a popular wheat ale with tropical notes that's sold in a bomber bottle (750mL).
Parker also struggles to keep his shelves stocked with Green Flash's Rayon Vert, a Belgian Pale Ale, and Chainbreaker White IPA from Deschutes, two higher-alcohol-content brews that are great for summer.
And if you want something even stronger, Parker raves about his shandy-like concoction: two ounces of 4 Roses Bourbon poured into a bottle of Fentimans Lemonade, which is more lean and tart than sweet, making the bourbon the flavorful forefront.
