Imagine going out with a significant other or a group of friends, having some unique craft cocktails, eating a delicious dinner, meeting some new friends with a shared interest and running into some old friends. You learn about and get to try a new expression from your favorite distillery and share a dram with the master distiller. To top it off you scored a baseball cap, Glencairn tasting glass, and a fake tattoo! Sound like a dream? It's Whiskey In The Winter 2016 at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch, being held this year on November 12, 2016.
For the General Admission price of $95, guests can sample a selection of 300 whiskies from all over the world, attend seminars, enjoy whiskey inspired food stations, and whisky-based cocktails.
VIP tickets are $125 and provide early access plus an exclusive opportunity to try one of the “Golden Ticket” Whiskies. (N.B. There may only be one bottle of certain whiskies and the rare, popular whiskies run out first.) Golden Ticket Whiskies have included Macallan Rare Cask, Jameson Rarest Vintage Reserve, Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Macallan 18, Middleton Barry Crockett Legacy, Balvenie 21 PortWood, and many more. I serve as the Whiskey Sommelier to educate consumers on the Golden Ticket Whiskies.
Special rates are available at the Hyatt. Also, look for related events in the days before and after the event. Once you attend, you'll return in following years. Don't delay in securing tickets, as this event will sell out. It always does. Cheers!
