EdgeWild Restaurant & Winery nominated by USA Today for Best Winery Restaurant
The winner is determined by popular vote. Voting ends on August 14.
For the second year in a row, EdgeWild Restaurant & Winery has been one of 10 restaurants nominated for Best Winery Restaurant by USA Today.
The Chesterfield restaurant features an upscale American menu and bottles 20 varietals from California, Oregon and Washington under its own label. That’s in addition to bottles from other wineries in America, Argentina Germany, Italy and New Zealand.
But Andy Kohn, who owns the restaurant (550 Chesterfield Center) with his wife, Dee Dee, says that what sets EdgeWild apart is its service.
“You can drink anywhere — and we really focus on quality wine — but there is a lot of quality wine out there, a lot of really good labels. Providing a great customer experience is paramount,” said Kohn, who also owns EdgeWild Bistro & Tap in Creve Coeur.
The restaurant has a wine club with 650 members who commit to buying a bottle of EdgeWild wine each month. Kohn said they are now focusing on “growing the concept” and plan to open another restaurant in Edwardsville, Ill., early next year.
The restaurant finished 10th in the USA Today competition last year. To vote, visit the 10 Best website. Voting ends on Monday, August 14 at 11 a.m. CDT.
“To be recognized by a wonderful publication like USA Today is quite an honor,” Kohn said.
