Soignée Soirée
On October 25, Central Table in the CWE hosts the Soigné Dinner, an intimate affair, with only 40 tickets offered at $100 per person. Check out the five-course, fall-themed menu from chefs Ben Grupe and Ray Carpenter, and RSVP by clicking here. (And in case you’re wondering, soigné means you better look chic.)
East Meets West
Corea House quietly opened about six weeks ago in the Castillons Arcade Plaza at Olive Boulevard and Fee Fee Road in West County. (The space’s former occupants were Hangook Kwan and Korea House.) It serves “authentic traditional Korean soups and dishes, using original recipes handed down from gen to gen.” 1261 Castillons Arcade Plaza, 314-808-5584.
Witches’ Brew
The St. Louis Brewers Guild Halloween Party will be the first festival in which you can sip suds from Narrow Gauge Brewing Co.—the yet-to-open Florissant microbrewery announced in this column about three months ago—and enjoy brews from about 30 other local breweries. The festival happens October 24 from 1 to 4 p.m. in Lafayette Park. Tickets start at $30.
