The last few weekends, it wasn’t easy getting into--or even to-- Pi in Kirkwood, at present the busiest pizzeria in town. As early as 5:30 PM, customers were forced to park in neighboring lots and make the trek up or down Manchester Rd…I haven’t seen that kind of activity since Hacienda on Cinco de Mayo.
Beginning next weekend, Pi-Kirkwood will begin valet service--not out of elitism mind you, but rather necessity. It will be “weekends only” to start, with other nights added as needed. Objections should be few—the service is complimentary.
Oh, and a word to the wise for those beelining for the 4 primetime parking spots right in front--not so fast. They are reserved for customers with a pick-up. -- George Mahe
