Citizen Kane's Steak House: How shrewd was it of Frank Kane to price Citizen Kane's three steaks equally, so his guests order by the cut they prefer and not by price? A further enticement is that the $34.95 tally includes both a salad and a side dish, so for many, Kane's represents the best quality steak deal in town. Our preference? A mid-rare ribeye, a Rosebud salad with Mayfair dressing, and creamed spinach. 133 W. Clinton 314-965-9005, citizenkanes.com

Auto-Lemons Can you just leave our beverages free of additives, please? Studies have shown that lemons often become contaminated when cut in a restaurant setting, so do us a favor and at least ask before you toss a slimy, seed-riddled, wedge of off-colored, germy citrus into our water. Local water happens to taste pretty good all by its lonesome, thank you, so kindly refrain from feeling the need to doll it up.
