at Two Nice Guys in Kirkwood, with a sad farewell note posted on the door.
The first section, addressed to friends and customers, states "the restaurant is temporarily closed and will make every attempt to reopen."
The second section, more emotional and heartfelt, praised the employees and "the great success we achieved together. But due to the economy, we cannot continue to operate even one more day. We would be honored to write recommendations and help you with job placement. We were fortunate and blessed to have such a wonderful group of employees. We are so deeply sorry to let you down. God bless you all and hope to see you again. With love, Chris and Cassie" (Kramer)
I dunno, restaurants come and go, but when you see a written eulogy taped to the inside of a door, one penned so directly from the heart, you personally feel the pain. We can only hope that this door will, in fact, reopen. Soon. -- George Mahe
