Casey and Curt Friedrichs, twin brothers and owners of twinOak Wood Fired Fare, might be on to something. Let's hear it for the reasonably priced event dinner.
On Saturday, January 21, twinOak will host its very first beer dinner, the Six Row Tap Takeover and Beer Dinner, an event that has a very "Restaurant Week" ring to it: 3 courses for $25. Paired brews from Six Row Brewing Co. (beers not in normal restaurant distribution, we are told) are included in the cost, as is gratuity. Evan Hiatt, COO and Head Brewmaster at Six Row, will be on hand to explain the beers.
TwinOaks' special evening also calls for a special menu (read: one that does not include pizza). Fewer courses, less money...we'll drink to that.
Rosemary Smoked Shrimp Skewers
Pre-Prohibition Style Pilsner
Shepherds Pie with Braised Lamb and Beef
English Brown Ale
Mini Deep Dish "Dee-Lish" (their signature dessert, a molten chocolate chip cookie topped with ice cream)
Vanilla Porter
